Steve is an Australian based professional photographer, who specializes in Landscape Photography.
As a child, Steve grew up with a father who was a World War Two veteran and photographer with a dark room at home. Steve credits his early interest in photography to his Dad, Malcolm. However, he is also inspired by people like Ken Duncan who has given Steve great help and support in his ventures.
In 2008 Steve took the courageous step to begin Fraserview Photography. His aim is to capture
‘images that inspire’. As a leader in business and community organizations, Steve is often seen as someone who inspires others to be the best they can be with integrity.
Inspiration is a quality that Steve brings to his work. When out in the field, he is not just looking to capture a landscape image, he is attempting to capture a moment or an emotion that can be communicated to others. He believes that God creates amazing moments and it is a privilege to be able to capture them.
Integrity of ‘the shot’ is also an important value to Steve. He believes that whilst you can use technology to enhance what is in the image, it should be true to what he saw. People should be able to go to the locations of his shots and be able to recognize not only the place but also the feel of it.
Steve's images are collected by individuals and corporate customers from all around the world, they have also featured in press articles, books and electronic media.
Steve lives in the hills in Perth along with his wife, Elaine who is an author (
www.consistentc.com.au) and children Jessica and Benjamin.
Plans for 2010 include travel through the USA; New Zealand and Europe and publishing a book.
